Run 1 was good in very muddy conditions but had difficulty overtaking another rider who would not move over so ended with time of 4.19 but knowing I could do better. Second race run felt good and time of 4.08. Great start to season with new hardtail track record and Podium 1st. Not the best track for hardtails and full suspension bike would be quicker but a great test for new DMR bike, components and my fitness levels. Thanks to sponsors DMR/Tektro/YBN/Madison/Kik and organisers but especially people of Innerleithen who were so freindly and welcoming for the riders who turn up in all weathers in middle of winter to ride bikes.
