Beating its nearest competitor by around 20W at 50km/h (13.888m/s), the Reynolds RZR 92 wheelset is the fastest in the world. So says its designer, Paul Lew, who took time out during a recent whistlestop tour of Europe to chat over croissants and coffee with interested journos at London's recently-opened Bespoke Cycling shop in Farringdon Road.

Have we found a new DH racer??

Suzy has been shredding the gnar recently in some Mini DH races on her DMR Omen to bag to first place finishes in two weeks of Downhill racing, not bad for a 4x racer! At the famous Bull Track race on the 15th of May she bagged her first place to beat second place by over 4seconds - and remember all aboard a Hardtail unlike the other full rigs - clearing large doubles and road gaps on her faithful steed! Then on the back of her win she slams up at Mr Blings Mini DH on the 22nd of May to take another easy win on the rough dusty track at PORC! Have we found a DH racer here??? I think so!

Lezyne Great Divide - Tested

We used it a lot over the winter when we were carrying extra gear or when taking the camera and for this use it really excels, providing a sturdy base that doesn't move around as some lighter bags do. It's comfortable too, even when full, and resolutely refused to move around even on the roughest trails. - Alasdair MacLennan - Pink Bike

Green Oil to feature eco tips on bottles

As reported on Bike Biz HERE
"The tips will aim to dispel green myths such as the misconception that leaving a car engine running instead of turning it off when not in use for a short time uses less petrol than restarting the engine. The tips will also encourage customers to buy recycled paper, avoid plastic bags and save water."

Dirt Wars 2011 - Rd 1

This was shot at the first round of the Dirt Wars in the UK. The event was held on May 21st. Some crazy DJ action was getting tossed around the piles of dirt.
The win was taken by our very own Ray Samson "It was an amazing weekend I took the win even after a horrible front flip crash. I have updated my blog and put a video up there from the comp."

Pivots Chris Cocalis visits Bike Radar

Pivot's Chris Cocalis with the Mach 5.7

Pivot Cycles main man Chris Cocalis is currently on a mini road trip around the UK with Upgrade brand managers - on the trip was a visit to BikeRadar to give them the lowdown on 2011 bikes and tease them with some exciting news about upcoming models.

For anyone unfamiliar with the brand, Chris set up Pivot five years ago after selling his first company, Titus, which he founded while he was at college in 1991. "People think Pivot is a new brand but it's a new brand with 25 years of suspension design behind it,"

DMR Reptoid on Singletrack

With the completion of Lee Quarry’s pump track, Benji has got in this 26″ wheeled jumpy bike for getting someSingletrack Classic Weekender practise in. This bike was used by Bernard Kerr to win the first round of theDMR Pumptrack Challenge, so if he’s rubbish on the track he can’t blame the bike. 4130 tubing, horizontal drops, steel three piece cranks, neat stubby saddle and you can get it in a 24″ wheeled version if you so desire.

LEJOG

Hi, I just wanted to write to let you know about my upcoming bike ride from Lands End to John O Groats. Some of you may already know but for those of you who don’t, I will be tackling the 900 plus miles in the last week of May to raise money for the Stephen Murray Family Fund. I aim to cover over 100 miles a day and was hoping you could help me to spread the word to get some more donations. Many thanks, Chico
